On Sept 7, 2014 we experienced a major flood in our condo. Without Maggie Fernandez and Van Thomas we would not have had a positive result.
It took 7 months to resolve our predicament (back and forth with insurance company) including payment, contractors, mold remediation and repairs to existing fixtures.

One of my rental units had damaged walls, warped wood floors and an unhappy tenant, due to an air conditioner leak. Since I was not aware that I could file a claim for this loss, I was prepared to pay for the dry-out myself and braced myself for losing several months of rental income.

At the end of the day, they were able to get me more than enough to pay for the cost of drying out the unit, replace the wood floors, repair and paint the walls. On top of that, they were able to get me reimbursement for three months of lost rents!

On Oct. 8, 2014 my ill husband and I were awakened by the security guards of our condo banging on the door. The black hose of our washer had burst and to our horror, we and our downstairs neighbor were inundated with water everywhere.
Maggie came up, introduced herself and carefully and gently explained the work that she and Van do. Frankly, I had never heard of it, but we were at a loss and didn’t even know where to begin. It was an extremely stressful time for me because my husband was very ill. I was sole caretaker and he has since passed on.
Van and Maggie took hold, worked with the insurance companies on my behalf. They were very knowledgeable about what had to be done and did it. The two of them eased the way for me and helped me make decisions that I would never have been able to make myself at this trying time.
